Disneyland Pictures

Went to Disneyland.

It was my parents 47th Anniversary! They came, didn't hang out much, but we did go on Small World with them and something in Ca. Adventure.

We scored fast passes - we found the man in the white vest (did you know to look for him?) He has presents!! We had fast passes to all the good rides. It was awesome because it was SUPER crowded.

We had the best time ever. School is over - YEA!

Little League Closing Ceremonies

Canyon Lake Little League had closing ceremonies today. Nanno played in a Kids Choice game - had a blast. The rest of the kids played on the blow up toys - dunk tank, jumpers, mazes etc. I chased Steph...well so did Michelle!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day also fell on Kyle 16th Birthday. Ryan Shack came and spent the night. Kyle enjoyed french toast with strawberries and whip cream for breakfast, no lunch (forgot lunch), and a yummy carne asada dinner (kind of a late lunch!), cake, ice cream and whatever else he wanted. Robert took a bunch of the kids in the boat as well. Happy Birthday Kyle! Scott is in Africa so we missed him!

That is Enough!!

Tonight at the baseball game some little girls were playing (Steph being one of them). Cadence started crying and Steph must have said something (?), Cadence cried louder and harder. All I hear is Steph yell, "I SAID .. ENOUGH!!!! I was trying to figure out if I say that figuring I must! We get home have dinner, Steph starts crying or fussing about something and I hear Robert say, "Steph! That is enough!!"

Also at the game - Steph had Skittles. She ate most of the bag, sharing some with Cadence. Cadence's mom then gets a new bag of Skittles. Steph goes and sits by Cadence and her Mommy. I tell Steph that she can't have any and Cadence's mom reinforces what I say. Cadence then asks her mom for some, Steph says loudly and with authority, "No Cadence, you cannot have anymore! YOU have had a TON!"

Steph, Cadence and another little one were playing. Steph had to share with the other little girl. Steph came up and told me that girl was being a stinker!

Steph

Steph has been crying going into her Sunday School Class. This week I told her that I would go sit with her for a few minutes and then go to my class...so I did just that - she was happy and didn't cry and when I left she was fine. When we got in the car after church (which is hours later) she said, "Thank you for coming to my cwass, mommy!" I couldn't believe she remembered and even thanked me!

Dani cut off 12 inches to send to Locks of Love - an organization that makes wigs for children with cancer.

Nanno

Nanno's baseball team is 5 - 1 in the second half WHICH is a huge improvement from the first half. They have a chance of being in the championship game! He was safe at home in the picture! We love watching him run the bases.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Last night Steph grabbed her straw hat and started posing like a model -it was hilarious - we all laughed so hard so of course she kept doing it! We were showing Grandma what she did and taught Grandma how to do it!

Robert!!!!

Robert called today saying, "Ya know how pride comes before a fall?" I panicked wondering what I was prideful about that he was nailing me on...then he proceeds to tell me that it was his pride in making fun of Michelle for hitting a concrete pole. She had just got a new truck and hit a pole at the bank!!! Well - Robert actually rear ended someone on the freeway going 5 miles an hour! That guy took his foot of his brake and hit the new Mustang in front of him!!! Robert hit a guy in a little car, so not only is his bumper damaged but so is his trunk! Robert's car has a lot of damage too!!!!

So the lesson for the day... Don't look for bills on the passenger seat while driving.

Today Sammy and I went to an Educational Doctor to get some tests run on him - basically learning style, academic tests etc. The doctor was great - we'll know more next week. He tested about where I thought he would which confirmed what I was thinking. He said he is a visual learner - I thought he was auditory... Sammy, of course, was a trooper and a hard worker. The doctor was very encouraging to me and helped me with some ways to help him read better. Sammy wanted to go to Disneyland after the appointment... so we did. We had a great time. I didn't know what to do with myself without a stroller, backpack, lunch, purse, camera, 4 other children... I put money and credit cards in my pocket and locked the keys in the car (on purpose - we have a door code). We got right in, had lunch, went to all the rides he wanted and headed home, stopping off at Starbucks on the way.

When we got home - Steph said, "Mooooommmmmm, you went to Disneyland and you didn't take me??? You are mean!!!!" That is no exaggeration - it is exactly what she said. We all laughed so hard!! She had a big smile on her face.

The Weekend

This past Saturday we went to Sylmar for a softball tourney for Jessy. The Ardos and Drollingers came to play at the park and watch Jessy play. It was soooo much fun. Thanks everyone for coming. During the last game, a field was open and all the kids went and played baseball - it was so cute! The twins and Dani are really in to playing catch - I think Dani wishes she had a twin, although Nathaniel plays with her a lot.

The girls getting into their newest sport. The funniest thing..the Ardo's friend who bought the twins the gloves, didn't realize Lauren (in the white tank) was left handed. She would catch the ball with her right hand and then take it off to throw it!!! They replaced it and now she no longer has to remove the glove!! I guess they play catch everyday!

Stephanie with strawberries, chips, string cheese, sandwich etc. all over her face. To keep busy, she eats, then eats some more, then some more. Not sure how she is keeping a slim 28 pounds. Must be all the activity. Jessy did Dani and Steph's hair for the day.

At the end of the day , they discovered this great climbing tree. Behind Dani to the left there are branches going everywhere - it was super cool.

Nathaniel had a baseball game - my dad took him to his game and then he spent the night with Papa and Grandma and they brought him to church this morning. He had a great time. He ate beef stew and even slept with Grandma. Dad told me Nathaniel knows all the sports teams, all the players etc.! I think they had a great day watching basketball. I was so thankful he got to have this time with them. Thanks mom and dad!


Before he left we were looking for his baseball glove. Robert and Nathaniel looked for 15 minutes. We tried to have Nanno remember what he did after we played catch - we looked inside, outside, in drawers etc. We finally called in Sammy who found it within 2 minutes. Guess where it was? By the wheelbarrow on the side of the house. How in the world did Sammy find it??? We have no idea. We think he has a gift - we have never seen anyone find anything like him - it's unbelievable.

This was super cute (Playhouse Disney) - Steph danced and clapped the entire time and kept saying, "this is sooo fun mom!" Playing in the water area - they didn't have much water today except a little coming out of the ground! The bigs kids went on some other rides! We did a LOT for Steph and Parker today - it was really fun. They spent a lot of time in the Brother Bear area.

Just Fun Stuff

The Shacks came for dinner tonight - the kids went in the boat - some of them actually got in the water and did stuff - CRAZY it was freezing. Two Miller boys here too. They played whiffle ball, basketball and jumped on the trampoline. Dani made cream cheese snacks and Reid and Jessy made everyone cookies.

In the above picture the girls had their babies - steph's is wrapped in her blanket and Mariahs is not showing but she had a bear and was trying to put a bathing suit on it while carrying it all around the house. She is a typical girl collecting odds things as she goes along!

I did a photoshoot with Mariah - she giggles ALL the time. She says words and is soooo cute! In this pic below she touched the palm and looked shocked!

Funny Steph Sayings

A couple months ago a lady with a really large rear-end - like Aunt Fanny in Robots...bent over in front of Steph...

Stephs says, "That is a big booty Mom!" with LOTS of expression.

A few weeks ago she saw a lady with a gold squarf wrapped around her head and her kinky hair was sticking out of the top of the scarf - Steph said, "Look Dad, it's a queen!"

Baptism

Robert took the kids in the jacuzzi the other night - he left for a minute and when he came back, Nathaniel was baptizing Daniele - When he got closer, he heard, "...in the name of theFather, the Son and the Holy Spirit..." and then he dunked her!

Nathaniel's Birthday

Today Nathaniel turned 10. It's hard to believe - we now have 3 in double digit numbers! This pic was from his bday in 2001 - he obviously cut his hair!!! I shaved it after the party so he must have cut it during the party!

We did school today - much to his dissappointment...

Tonight we went to BJ's - he ordered a french dip, a cherry pepsi and a chocolate chip cookie desert. It was really fun. One of his presents was Rollercoaster Tycoon ... we are playing it now.... more later!

A bunch of families went to the Shacks house for our annual Easter together. This year we brought our own meat and side dishes to share. It was really fun. The day started out looking cold but ended up okay. Church was awesome.
